I have engaged with Reneris for over 5 years now for critical and non-critical searches within our organization. It has been a pleasure working with the team. Over the years I have observed how Reneris has gained solid understanding of the nonprofit real estate development and operations sector and has applied this knowledge to the search for new candidates. The ability to understand MidPen, our culture, our guiding principles, and our values has been critical in each search to find the right candidates for us who not only share these same principles, but also are additive to our culture and the team.
I have worked with many search firms throughout my career and have appreciated the communication practices that are in place at Reneris. You take the time with each search to have a thorough understanding of our needs, you provide us with insights about candidates you are speaking with to make sure we are both aligned, and you have kept each of our hiring managers informed about the process and progress you are making. Because of all this, I have and will continue to refer Reneris as a great partner when there is a need to engage with a search firm.

Housing California began a search for a new executive director in early 2022. The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors conducted a thorough search and review of multiple firms to identify the right one that would be best suited to assist with our organization’s needs. The Committee unanimously chose Reneris over the other firms interviewed.
Right from the start, Dominique was extremely easy to work with. She spent a lot of time understanding not just who Housing California was searching for, but more so, the mission, values, and needs of the organization in the sector – and how all of those intersected with the skills and experiences needed, both in the immediate, but also for the growth of the next leader and the future of the organization. Given the unique role(s) and constituencies that Housing California represents, this understanding is exceedingly more complex than it is for most organizations. Regardless of this complexity, Dominique was dedicated to spending time with the committee, but also with a larger number of interested external partners in order to truly understand the type of candidate that would be successful for the organization.

Reneris’ commitment to regular check-ins throughout the process was highly appreciated, keeping me informed and involved every step of the way.
I thoroughly enjoyed the candidate presentations, especially the verbal component, as it was engaging and informative. The written candidate profiles consistently aligned with my needs and expectations, making it easier to gauge each candidate's suitability. They were instrumental in my decision-making process, allowing effective comparison of candidates and guiding whom to interview. They also proved invaluable during the interview process, providing a solid foundation for productive discussions.
